The National Lung Cancer Roundtable (NLCRT) is a trusted coalition of more than 100 public, private, medical and patient advocacy organizations working together to increase lung cancer awareness, prevention, early detection, and education.

Lung cancer will kill more than 135,000 people in the United States this year – more than breast, colon and prostate cancer combined. Up to 65 percent of those who get the disease have never smoked or have quit smoking.

Please help save lives by running our PSAs to help your listeners find resources to determine their lung cancer risk, quit smoking (if they are smokers) and get screened for lung cancer.

Screening current or former smokers over the age of 55 each year with lung CT scans is the first and only test proven to reduce lung cancer deaths through early detection.

The American Cancer Society, American Lung Association and United States Preventative Services Task Force recommend these tests. Private insurance and Medicare cover these exams – with no copay – for those who meet age and smoking-history requirements.

The more of your listeners who know about these resources, the more lives we can save together.

For more information, visit the resource center on NLCRT.org.
