The Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation’s TAKE STEPS + VIRTUAL Walk Connects Communities on October 18
The mission of the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation is to cure Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, and to improve the quality of life of children and adults affected by these diseases.
The Foundation sponsors basic and clinical research of the highest quality. We also offer a wide range of educational programs for patients and healthcare professionals, while providing supportive services to help people cope with these chronic intestinal diseases. These programs are supported solely through our donors, grants, fundraising efforts, and sponsors.
Take Steps is more than just a walk. It is a community that brings together patients, caregivers, and friends in a celebration that will leave you feeling empowered and inspired. When you fundraise through Take Steps, you are directly impacting treatment, research, and quality of life programs for patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).
Take Steps is our largest fundraising event. To date, Take Steps has brought together 360,000 people and raised almost $100 million to impact vital treatment, research, and quality of life programs for patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).
IBD is incredibly complex and challenging to understand and treat, not to mention to develop cures. Solutions are not one-size-fits-all.
That’s why the individual child, teenager, or adult with IBD is at the center of everything we do at the Foundation. Patient needs drive our decision-making. And we are impatient. Far too many children and young adult lives are ravaged by this disease.
On October 18, we will host our second TAKE STEPS + VIRTUAL event. This virtual walk event will be filled with inspiring patient stories, entertainment, music, and more, and will provide critical funding for the Foundation! Due to the inability to hold an in-person event in the last six months, the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation is facing the most serious financial crisis of our history. We’ve been forced to reassess whether we will be able to make grants and fund research projects this fall, and our ability to provide support to the members of our community may also be at risk. You can make a difference during this difficult time, by airing our :30 spots in our much-needed markets.
Please help us raise awareness for IBD by sharing our PSA’s promoting TAKE STEPS + VIRTUAL.
